Easy
Clean Boat Cleaner was submitted to Practical Boat Owner to be included
in their boat cleaner test on gel coat hulls. “Having found a
distinctly filthy hull, we tested Easy Clean ... the results were quite
startling. Our test certainly proves this product’s worth in tackling
waterline and rust stains. Also claiming to remove exhaust marks and
taking advantage of its spray format to aid cleaning non-slip and
awkward crevices, this is certainly worth a try before getting stuck in

followed by a sluice off could help keep your boat one of the smartest

As
Easy
Clean is
a liquid spray rather than a gel, the manufacturers
claim
it
is particularly suitable for awkward areas such as non-slip
decks and
has a better coverage than a paint on product. It
works by being
absorbed into the tiny pores of the gel-coat and cleaning it out with a
mixture of conventional soaps and a mild citric acid (the same stuff
you find in lemon juice). For once my boat was looking surprisingly
clean but I still found a small rust dribble and a yellow patch of
glassfibre around the transom. After the allotted 15 minutes, a rinse
and a quick rub with a damp cloth, the rust stain was gone and the
